A beautiful ivory-colored celluloid dresser box, with a TLR monogram. Everything about this beauty speaks to it's Art Deco roots- from the "new" material to the stylized monogram to the pointed motifs and it's strongly deco shape. It's not hard to imagine this on a ladies dressing table, circa 1920-1930's. It measure 6 1/2 inches across (the middle) 5 1/2 from point to point, It's 1 3/4 high and the interior is approx 5 1/2 at it's widest point. Please note two things....on the open/interior picture- there is a tiny bit of celluloid missing at the hinge (it is slightly visible on the exterior back side.) Also note that there are 2 pegs that help keep it closed (those are the round shapes at each inside corner) One of the pegs is missing. It does not affect the ability for it to stay closed. The insized mark on the bottom is tiny and reads (on three lines Ivory PYRALIN DuBerry
(stacked).She's a beauty.......just like Madame DuBerry.
