RARE PAIR-This is a set of 2 matted Art Deco evening fashion prints that date to 1922. They originally appeared in a haute couture fashion magazine that dates to that time. They are NOT recent reproduction prints. These prints showcase iconic styles of the Art Deco years. They feature women in evening attire of long dresses with overcoats and capes designed by leading fashion names such as Lucien Lelong, Jean Patou, Worth, etc. The designs are set against the twinkling night skies. These styles are elegant and sophisticated, lush and sensuous, and indicative of the chic lifestyles during the Art Deco period. They were illustrated by Pierre Brissaud (1885-1964), a leading fashion illustrator who is best known for his pochoirs in Gazette du Bon Ton and his work for French Vogue. 8 x 9.5 and 8.25 x 8.5 inches. Each print comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for standard size frames. You are purchasing a set of two matted 1922 French Art Deco fashion prints.
