Vintage E Brito Mexico Sterling Silver Mosaic Inlay Green Stone Necklace Bracelet Earrings Set Free Shipping
Stunning with it's huge central carved stone face adorned pendant, this set features sterling silver panels inlaid with greenish crushed stones with a modern sterling silver inlaid design. The green stone is carved into a primitive face. All the pieces match and are signed. I don't know what the stones are.
This vintage 1940's? necklace, bracelet and earrings set was made by Mexican silversmith E. Brito. Brito was one of the early masters of mosaic inlay, also known as azteca mosaica. This technique was developed by Chato Castillo in the early 1940's. Brito's work is collectible and getting harder to find. Other than some examples of his signed work, I couldn't find any biographical information on the artist E. Brito. Free Shipping.
Length of necklace laid out straight - 16" not including clasp (laid out straight some of the panels overlap a little and hanging this would probably measure a little longer).
The big panel on the necklace with the face measures 2 5/8" tall and is 2 1/8" wide.
The bracelet is 6 3/4" long not including the clasp and 3/4" wide. The panels are slightly concave to hang better on your wrist.
The earrings measure 1" long and 1/2" wide.
Condition: All pieces are in very good condition with some slight wear and tarnishing. The clasps all work as well as the screws on the back of the earrings.
It is carefully packed. Free shipping includes insurance, tracking and signature required for delivery confirmation. I will not ship this internationally.
