A boxed shaped sterling silver cigarette box, given noticeable character by the engine turned finish to the lid. The simplicity of the shape and polished sides are set against the stylish lid, so characteristic of the Art Deco designs of the 1920s/1930s. A very appealing box in good condition with a wooden lined interior.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1961 the box comes from the workshop of Joseph Gloster. The box measures 5 inches by 3.5 inches having a height of 1.5 inches. The box is divided into two halves by a fillet, which can be simply removed if required.
