Edouard Halouze: 1895 - 1958. French painter, decorator and illustrator who was a frequent contributor to the Gazette du Bon Ton. He participated in an exhibition dedicated to "Fashion as seen by Painters" at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in 1920. He developed a unique style for costumes and program covers for the French Music Hall.

Pochoir: French for stencil. The term is applied to a class of print usually hand-coloured through a series of carefully cut out stencils.This process was much used in Paris during the early decades of the 20th century.
Especially popular in the art deco period, used for fashion plates amongst other things.
