This beautiful Indian Head was discovered in an old collapsed storage shed, which deteriorated over decades and finally fell over,
The roof has been leaking for years and the sun melted the old shingles. So it was a BIG mass, when the son of the deceased owner allowed a collector to look for old Indian Motorcycle parts parts, which were under the debris.
It was very dangerous to crawl in there and do the search.
A lot of pieces got damaged and there was a pile of pieces covered with tar, which caught his attention.
He dragged it out, came to an agreement with the owner, took it home and started to dissolve the tar with diesel fuel.
After a week the different pieces finally came apart and one of them was the Indian Head.
Another two weeks of soaking, cleaning and polishing, brought that BEAUTY back to it's original splendor.
I had the Art Deco base made in different Acrylic colors, which brings the design out to beautiful.
Could be nicely illuminated wit LED's today.
The all aluminum head is ca. 20" long and 12" tall.
