Listed here are 4 singles from a deck published by Nasco, its “Momart” brand. The Dawson/Hochman Encyclopedia describes Nasco as a Brown & Bigelow brand (MSN18); however, the World Web Playing Card Museum shows it as an Arrco deck (WWPCM #02034), and the Ace of Spades for this deck shows Nasco located in Chicago -- the home of Arrco, not B&B. What is possible is that Nasco cards were printed by both Arrco and B&B, perhaps in successive periods. Just as it is unclear who printed the cards, the date given by the Dawson/Hochman Encyclopedia is in question; frankly, the design of the backs and overall look of the cards seems to me to make Arrco in the 1930s a more likely possibility. I have stayed with the date given for Nasco cards in the Encyclopedia, but note it with a question.
The 4 cards offered in this listing are the 4 Jacks.
The cards came from a deck that is incomplete and has 2 damaged cards. However, the cards listed here are in very good to excellent lightly used condition; they have edge wear that shows, but are otherwise clean. The graphics, front and back, are still vivid.
