1920s Art Deco Made in Germany German Bisque Porcelain Holy Water Font | Gilt Trim Angel Decoration Red Heart
Purchased by me in Paris about 30 years ago, here's a bisque porcelain Holy Water Font aka Benetier that was made in Germany. Featuring a cross at the back, there is also a 3D image of an angel with wings. The front of the font bears a single red heart. Size of the piece is small at 4-7/8" high x 2-3/8" wide; depth is 1-5/8". Opening of the font has a width of 1-1/8". Light wear to the yellow gold trim but that's about it - no chips, cracks, pieces missing, etc. The back of the font is lightly impressed with GERMANY - the black mark "+20" can possibly be removed with Goo Gone or nail polish remover. I will leave that to the new owner.
