This is a lovely vintage Art Deco necklace made of sterling silver and set with marcasites. The center pendant features a beautiful faux coral stone, molded to look like carved coral with a flower and fern leaf design and the mount continues the floral motif. It is suspended from five stations on each side in the form of silver roses set with more marcasites. It is suspended from a paperclip chain fastens with a spring ring catch. The catch is marked Sterling Germany which dates it to before WWII.
The necklace measures 15 inches and the pendant is 1 inch in diameter. It is in very nice condition with some light surface wear. The color of the faux coral is a bit softer than the photograph. There is one marcasite missing from one of the rose segments.
If the shorter length is an issue, this necklace could be extended using a necklace extender. They are inexpensive and readily available.
