This great find came from the renovation of a New York City train station.
The octagonal base has two holes for screws, the bar is a hexagonal rod ending with a large ball.
The ball was made in two pieces, the solder line can be seen through the center.
The metal appears to be brass with a silver plating, it has not been cleaned and retains the original patina as found.
The base measures 3&5/8" square, the rod is 2.5" and the ball has an approximate diameter of 2.5". When mounted it sticks out 5" from the wall.
A really cool piece of Art Deco period hardware.
