Here is a lovely, red ,white and brown glass necklace produced by the Neiger brothers , Max and Norbert, who established their company in Gablonz, now part of the Czech republic, in 1905. It was Max who headed up the workshop. Sadly these talented Jewish brothers perished in Auschwitz in 1939. The company produced wonderful costume jewellery inspired by ancient Egypt , China and India. This necklace is probably one of the late 1920's pieces.

Its around the neck measurement is 30¼” (76.5cms). The larger scarab beads are 13mms and 17mms across.

The beads have typically deco design with both angular and round decoration. The painted brown on white lines are striking and highlighted with red spacer beads.

The necklace is on cord and knotted between the larger beads. It closes with a ring clasp.

This lovely necklace has no chips or cracks but just a little loss of paint here and there, particularly on the red spacers. Frankly it is hardly noticeable and should be easy to restore if required. However I have taken this into account in my pricing.

Make a bold statement with this one! It will arrive in a gift box.
