This is an exceptionally handsome and large, Tribal African, leather camel's satchel, beautifully framed under glass and of museum quality. The carved wooden frame measures 4.5" in depth, 50" in width, and 38" in height. The antique leather, hand tooled, satchel in colors of sienna and ochre has been embellished with tiny orange beads and small metal elements. I believe it dates to the early part of the twentieth century. The artistry of the satchel is quite remarkable, but the display, mounting, and framing of the satchel is just as extraordinary as the satchel itself. There is a signature to the left of the satchel which reads, "JiaNa". I'm assuming that this is the frame's signature. This would make an excellent decorator's piece of museum quality. The piece is large, heavy, and encased in glass. It would be very difficult and costly to ship. Consequently, I am offering door to door delivery for a $250. delivery charge, within a 50 mile radius of New York City only. No domestic or international shipping is available, but can be arranged by the purchaser at his or her own expense.
